In the beginning of 2020, we found ourselves unemployed due to the coronavirus. After the initial shock of it all, we decided to shift. Instead of being paralyzed by our circumstances, we chose to be proactive.
We carefully considered all our skillsets, business background, and personal and professional life experiences—GTA General Contractors was born.

Strategic trade networks: Our expertise is our ability to bring the right people together for your project. We have built partnerships with experts of every trade in the industry: painters, electricians, interior designers, plumbers, arborists, finish carpenters just to name a few.

Our CFO
Tina Ben-Austin attended Seattle Central Community College and the University of Alaska, where her focus was in accounting. Her desire was to own and operate her own business. In 1999 she established her first business, which still operates today. She was responsible for the financial management of her company, by tracking cash flow and financial planning, as well as analyzing her company’s strengths and weaknesses and taking corrective actions.
Tina feels her greatest success in life was owning and operating her own business. Her inspiration to do what she does comes for her husband and their four children. Being an entrepreneur allowed her more time with her children while they were still very young.
In her free time, she likes to relax by reading stage scripts, going to the theatre, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
Our CEO
Grady Austin is the co-founder and CEO of GTA General Contractors and has over 30 years of experience within the construction industry. His training started in his early teens, working in his father's small welding shop in Buffalo, New York. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, becoming a Jet Engine Mechanic. Then he shifted and began working for multiple social service programs as a counselor, assistant director, and then director.
Grady has always enjoyed all aspects of residential construction and remodeling. He is exceptionally talented, a strong leader, and multi-faceted. He has a people-first approach with a project-oriented mindset:
